In addition to her extensive hunter/jumper/equitation training, Sarah also trained with nationally renowned Grand Prix Dressage trainer Brad Cutshall.Sarah has been teaching and riding professionally since 2007 and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, in 2009.From the age of 16 to 19 she worked as a show groom by day and braider by night to pay the bills to compete.As a junior and adult amateur rider, she qualified for Maclay Regionals, Medal Finals, Syracuse Invitational Equitation Top 100 (receiving a bronze medal), and the National Horse Show and received year end awards through HJAM and MHSA in the Junior Hunters, Adult Amateurs, and Open Equitation.Sarah’s students have enjoyed success nationally and internationally in everything from the Short Stirrups and Intermediates to the Medals/ Maclays and the Low Junior Jumpers, including placings at USEF Pony Finals.She was HJAM Spring Circuit leading trainer in 2016.
Oakland Hills Farm is set on 35 acres and features 31 well-maintained 12’ x 12’ stalls with rubber mats (leveled and matted October 2016), five grooming stalls (painted and matted October 2016), a heated main tack room and two additional tack rooms (newly constructed in 2017), lockers for boarders and lessees, and one indoor and two outdoor wash racks.
The farm offers nine paddocks and one rehabilitation paddock to allow for private and semi-private turnout.
Our spacious 120’ x 240’ outdoor arena and 80’ x 200’ indoor arena are impeccably groomed daily and feature two complete courses of show jumps, allowing riders to school over competition-sized courses year round.
After much success, Gabor moved to Michigan in 1955 and soon after started Oakland Hills Farm with partner Sidney Katzman.
As trainer at Oakland Hills Farm, Gabor won innumerable classes and championships at such prestigious events as the National Horse Show at Madison Square Gardens.
